A photographic series shot in a working garage during the restoration of a BMW E30. The machine as subject — its surfaces, its tools, the hands that move through it.

The garage is a private space made of habit. Every object has been placed by use, not design. Light enters indirectly, settling on metal and grease with the same indifference it gives to everything else.
